The
Journey to the Wisdom of the Maya eight
day tour will be a small, friendly, life
changing
tour, lead by Turtle Island Coaching Director
Caite Mathis. Caite is an elder and life coach
with forty years of spiritual and self development
training and experience in both eastern and
western traditions. She studied Toltec shamanic
healing, Casteneda style, at the Taiyari Center
for Human Growth near Oaxaca, Mexico (www.taiyari.com)
and in the winters of ’05 and ’06
taught theater in an economic empowerment
program for Guatemalan woman at Project IxCannan
in El Remate, near the Mayan site of Tikal,
Guatemala. “My
experience and initiation with the shamans
of Mexico and
Guatemala has convinced me that learning what
the Maya can
teach us with their cosmovision is paramount to understanding
what is going on in our world and how we should live our lives
during this last five years before 2012. I founded Turtle Island
Coaching in San Diego in 2007 to encourage people to follow
their hearts, find their higher calling and discover their part
in the larger story of the future of humanity and the earth. This

Note: This trip is created to
be affordable for those who really
want to know about the Maya and
have the guidance of expert teachers
and guides. The hotels will be
clean and comfortable, but they
will be three stars, not five.
